    Roses & Ayurvedic Skin Care

Throughout history, the ‘ Queen of Flowers,’ roses, have been a key component in beauty rituals and ancient traditions thanks to their rejuvenating and healing properties. Specifically in the realm of Ayurveda, roses have been integrated into this ancient medical system’s herbal practices due to the cooling, replenishing, tonifying and calming effects these flowers impart within the body, mind, spirit and skin. Moreover, the integration of roses into Ayurvedic herbalism reflects a deep respect for nature's ability to nurture and heal and offers a time-tested approach to self-care.

When it comes to the three doshas – vata, pitta and kapha  – roses work to balance all three, making these versatile flowers tridoshic in nature and a welcome component in any Ayurvedic skincare routine. For example, vata-type skin tends to dryness, premature lines and stubborn wrinkles and this skin type can utilize roses to restore hydration and plumpness to the skin’s layers. Pitta-type skin, prone to inflammation, oiliness, sensitivity and heat, benefits greatly from the cooling properties of roses that can reduce redness and irritation present in the skin. Kapha-type skin, inclined towards oiliness and congestion, can find relief in the purifying and astringent qualities of roses. As you can see, roses have a multitude of uses when addressing the 3 doshas in Ayurvedic skincare .

    The Plant Powered Ingredients

Our Rose Salt Scrub is packed with earth-based ingredients that nourish and will reveal your most beautiful skin.

    Himalayan Salt

Rich in mineral content, including magnesium potassium and calcium, Himalayan salt promotes circulation and improves skin hydration. Additionally, the exfoliating power of Himalayan pink salt helps this gentle scrub to buff away dead skin cells, unveiling a smoother and more radiant complexion.

    Roses

The Queen of Flowers offers antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, aiding in calming and toning the skin. Vitamins A and C present in rose also facilitate collagen production and skin regeneration, contributing to a revitalized appearance. Not to mention, roses bring a heady, floral aroma to this fresh, inviting scrub!

    Jojoba Oil

This replenishing oil enhances the exfoliating process by gently removing dead skin cells while deeply moisturizing the skin. Jojoba oil is also non-comedogenic, making it suitable for all skin types, including sensitive and acne-prone skin.

    PAAVANI Ayurveda's Tridoshic Body Oil

Our Tridoshic Body Oil combines a robust blend of natural ingredients, each carefully selected for its unique benefits in promoting healthy skin.

Sesame oil, known for its antioxidant properties, deeply nurtures the skin, helping to maintain its natural moisture balance. Sunflower oil is rich in Vitamin E, essential for skin health, and provides anti-inflammatory benefits that soothe and protect the skin. Safflower oil is lightweight and easily absorbed, enhancing the skin's overall texture and elasticity.

This traditional Ayurvedic abhyanga oil also infuses whole herbs of brahmi, lavender and cardamom. Potent brahmi helps to rejuvenate and repair the skin, promoting cellular regeneration and an all natural glow. Lavender, with its calming and anti-inflammatory properties, helps to soothe irritation and redness while promoting relaxation. Cardamom, a potent antioxidant, protects the skin from environmental stressors and supports even skin tone.

The proprietary blend of essential oils found in our Tridoshic Body Oil imparts a sweet, fresh, floral aroma and also provides additional benefits such as reducing anxiety, uplifting the mood and promoting bliss in the body and mind.

Together, these ingredients work synergistically to create a luxurious Body Oil that deeply hydrates, nourishes and fortifies the skin, making it an essential component of our Rose Salt Scrub.
