Autumnal Equinox: A Grounding & Calming Meditation

“And the sun took a step back, the leaves lulled themselves to sleep and autumn was awakened.”

- Raquel Franco

Today, in the northern hemisphere, we embrace the autumnal equinox. During this time of year, we experience an almost perfect balance between day and night, honoring the official beginning of fall. Ayurvedically known as vata season, this transition brings a reprieve from the summer heat as we welcome the cooler, more mellow days ahead. Nature bestows upon us ripe figs, sweet grapes and crisp apples ready to be picked. The trees dazzle with a mosaic of colors like crimson, gold and orange. The sunsets emit a warm, autumnal glow. This is also the season when nature shows us how to let things go gracefully, no matter how beautiful, so that we may make room for the magic of what is to come, manifest & be.

In honor of vata season, we would like to share an Autumnal Equinox Guided Meditation to support an easeful transition from summer into fall. This visual meditation will help ground and connect you with the earth element and may be called upon anytime throughout the season. It also invites you to remove any blockages to your flow that may be present in the body, mind and/or spirit so that you may step into this new season feeling stable, steady and nurtured.
