Summer Ritual: A Cooling & Soothing Meditation

"Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer's day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time."

    -John Lubbock

As we welcome summer, Ayurvedically known as pitta season, there are endless reminders woven within the fabric of the season that prompt us to slow down & reconnect with the wonder of the natural world.

For example, biting into a sweet & juicy watermelon, smelling the tantalizing flavors wafting from the grill & sipping on a refreshing Rose Petal Lemonade to diving into a body of cooling water, feeling the sun’s warmth against your skin & allowing yourself to revel outside on a warm night underneath the stars.

In honor of summer & pitta season, we would like to share with you a Summer Meditation to keep you feeling soothed & relaxed so that you may enjoy the warmth & activation of the season without compromising your balance of pitta dosha.

This visual meditation will connect you with the summer’s beauty & enhance your calm, compassionate nature as you journey through these next sun (& fun) filled months.

    Happy Summer,

    Trudy & Leah, co-founders
